Many conventional taxi operators coming from surrounding areas around Jakarta, such as Tangerang, Depok, and Bekasi which pick up passengers in the capital. Whereas, according to the rules, it is prohibited. They are only allowed to drop off passengers only and returned to their home area.

"Taxi group is wide, whether taxis outside Tangerang, Bekasi and Bogor enter into Jakarta, surely they can. They just drop off passengers. But they cannot take passengers in Jakarta," he stated, at City Hall, Wednesday (3/23).
